Magic Bloc is a multi-purpose bloc used to repair skin that is exposed to rough surfaces or adverse weather conditions. This unique bloc is made from a combination natural fats and oils that are most conducive to the skins’ ability to heal. Magic Bloc is slowly absorbed into the skin, providing a protective moisturising layer and enabling fast repair of tired and worn out skin.
Usage & Application
Use Magic Bloc for a variety of purposes such as repairing damaged hands, moisturising dry or cracked lips, providing relief from chaffing and minor abrasions or as an intensive face moisturiser. In a colder climate, Magic Bloc may become quite hard. To release the oils retained within the bloc simply rub vigorously between hands & voila – magic!

What is Magic Bloc made from?
Unrefined Yellow Beeswax
Beeswax provides a number of benefits to the skin by providing a protective barrier from adverse environmental conditions while holding in moisture to reduce dryness. Unlike ingredients made from petroleum, beeswax doesn’t suffocate the skin and won’t clog pores. Beeswax also contains antibacterial properties that help to encourage the healing of wounds and inhibit bacteria growth from certain skin conditions.
Shea Butter
Shea butter is produced using a steam processing to ensure that it is clean and smooth in texture. Like beeswax, Shea butter is excellent in protecting skin from harsh weather conditions while warding off the effects of sun and aging.
Jojoba
This highly penetrating oil closley resembles sebum - the oily wax that is secreted by the skin’s sebaceous glands. These glands are responsible for keeping the skin lubricated which is essential for healthy looking skin. Jojoba also contains a natural anti-inflamitory as well as having natural antioxidant properties.
Tallow (grass-fed)
Tallow fat is derived from beef and is uniquely compatible with the biology of our cells. About 50% of the structure of our cell membrane comes from saturated fat which gives the skin the necessary stiffness and integrity for proper function. Interestingly tallow also typically contains 50% saturated fat and therefore is easily assimilated into the cell membrane of the skin. Tallow has many superior qualities to plant-based oils including an abundance of fat soluable vitamins (A, D, K and E) and potent anti-inflammatory properties.
Wheat Germ Oil* (*cold-pressed)
Wheatgerm oil is rich in Vitamins A, D and has naturally occuring antioxidants including Vitamin E and Beta Carotene. Wheatgerm Oil is very nourishing for the skin, prevents moisture loss and sooths red, burnt or irritated skin.
Cacao Butter*
Cacao butter (not be confused with cocoa butter) is the fat extracted by cold-pressing unroasted cocoa beans. Cacao butter is high in antioxidants which help fight free radicals and contains essential fatty acids that help keep the skin hydrated.
Rosehip Oil*
Rosehip Oil is high in Vitamin A and is very useful for dry and damaged skin, sunburn, age spots and wrinkles. Rosehip is non-greasy and absorbed quickley into the skin.
Organic Comfrey Infused Oil
Comfrey is high in allantoin, which is a mucilaginous substance that encourages cell growth. The infusion is made by infusing organic comfrey leaves and root into organic oil. Infused comfrey oil is traditionally used for sprains, broken bone, scar prevention, application to dry and flaky skin and bruises.
Vitamin E Oil
Alpha di Tocopherol (Vitamin E Acetate) is excellent for skin care. As an antioxidant, it protects against free radicals and is an effective moisturising agent that improves elasticity and smoothness of skin. Vitamin E is soothing and cooling on irrirated, dry skin, smooths wrinkles and helps slow the signs of ageing.
Essential Oils:
The essential oils used in Magic Bloc provide a subtle yet memorable aroma. Essential oils include patchouli, petigrain, german chamomile, cinnamom, cardamom, sweet orange and nutmeg.
Why is it important to use cold-pressed oils?
Cold pressed oils are achieved by pressing and grinding the fruit or seed causing enough friction to extract the oil at a temperature less than 49°C. Low temperature processing harnesses the plant's valuable nutrients while high temperatures extraction processes damage the plant’s molecular structure and enzyme content. Unfortunately many commercial skin care products use oils extracted from industrial processes that involve high heat and various chemicals including the toxic solvent hexane.
